The Walking Dead now available for download

Telltale Games has announced The Walking Dead video game, based on the critically acclaimed comic book series, is now available for download.

As of today, fans of the gruesome zombie survival series can purchase the first of five planned episodes for The Walking Dead video game.  It is available for the PC and Mac from the Telltale Games Online Stores, as well as Steam and other digital distribution services.  It is also available for download on the PlayStation Network for PS3, and will be available Friday, April 27 on Xbox LIVE for Xbox 360.

The Walking Dead: Episode One - A New Day introduces new character, Lee Everett, a man convicted of a crime of passion.  In the episode, he has been given the chance for redemption in a world devastated by the undead.  According to the game description, "Players will experience life changing events, meet new characters and familiar ones from the original comic, and also visit locations that foreshadow the story of Deputy Sheriff Rick Grimes.  The Walking Dead offers a tailored game experience – player actions, choices and decisions affect how the story plays out across the entire series."

A New Day is available for $4.99 on the PSN, and will be 400 Microsoft Points when released tomorrow on Xbox 360.  For those who want to purchase all five monthly episodes in bulk, you can purchase the season pass for $24.99 on PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store and other digital outlets.
