The Recap - 08/14/13 'Dark Souls 2 trolls fans & new Witcher 3 trailer amazes'

Welcome to another Recap episode where we go over the day's biggest headlines, making sure that you're caught up in all things video games.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s new trailer teaches us the morality behind killing monsters

The word “monster” is ambiguous. Sure we like to think of those creatures that haunt our nightmares as children, but a monster can be just about anything or anyone. Are humans capable of being monsters? The answer is yes. Evil is evil, and to Geralt of Rivia – evil must be slain. In this new trailer for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Geralt takes morality into his own hands.

Dark Souls 2 teases the forging of a hero

Oh From Software, even your trailers troll your fans. Today, Namco Bandai released a teaser trailer for a new Dark Souls II video called “Forging a Hero.” The short 30 second clip shows a forge and flashes of the temple knight armor fromDark Souls II. I’m assuming ‘Forging a Hero’ is a pun as in creating a character and literally forging armor for a hero.

First look at Fables game The Wolf Among Us

The video introduces Bigby Wolf, who must keep the other Fables — magical fairytale characters — from destroying each other. It's not an easy job. The comic book influence in the game's scenes is clear, especially when Bigby crashes out a window, and the visual style looks like it was ripped from the pages of Willingham's books.

Possible Diablo 3 expansion 'Reaper of Souls' being teased

Yesterday, it was discovered that Blizzard had filed a recent trademark for "The Dark Below." We weren't quite sure what it meant at the time, but now a new page on the officialDiablo website has been revealed, teasing something that appears to be called "Reaper of Souls." Are the two related?
