The Recap - 07/29/13 'Phil Fish up and cancels Fez II & Wind Waker gets cheaper with pre-order'
Welcome to another Recap episode where we go over the day's biggest headlines, making sure that you're caught up in all things video games.
Over the weekend, notable indie developer Phil Fish (co-founder of Polytron) announced that he was cancelling development onFez II. The announcement came while Fish was in the midst of a heated debate onTwitter, though he later clarified that he was not cancelling Fez II "because some boorish f**k said something stupid." Because of that reason (and the fact that Fish's tweets are now private), we will not be posting the argument.
On Sunday, Levine had a cryptic tweet which read: "Excited for tomorrow." However, a follow-up tweet told people to "Check the internets tuesday at around 8AM est to see what I'm up to [tomorrow]. Hopefully, it won't involve a perp walk."
Levine was recently brought on by Warner Bros. to write the screenplay for Logan's Run, but I have a feeling tomorrow's news will be related to the game. When specifically asked about the DLC, which is expected to be revealed this month, he referred his followers to his prior tweets.
I originally expected nothing but a gallery of GTA 5's hot cars, but I suppose the "fast life" is more metaphorical as the screenshots show off some of the more heart-pounding moments of the game -- like in a strip club, on a burning plane going down, or in the middle of a police chase on an ATV. You know, just the typical stuff you'd expect from a Grand Theft Auto game.
Now's the time to pre-order one of the three Wii U games worth owning! If you head over toAmazon or Walmart's website, you'll find that pre-orders for The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD are available for $49.99, which is $10 off the normal price.
