The Last of Us Officially Revealed, Developed by Naughty Dog
Tonight marked the unveiling of the much anticipated PS3-exclusive The Last of Us. Much to the delight of PS3 fans, it was revealed that Uncharted developers Naughty Dog are developing it.
As predicted, the game does take place in a post-apocolyptic world, over-run by mutated humans. It wasn't confirmed, but it looks like they are indeed infected by some sort of virus, or perhaps the fungus that was teased in previous trailers.
The new trailer shown at the VGAs, which should be released soon, showed a girl and a man struggling against some former-human creature.
"This is our routine. Day and night, all we do is survive. It never lets up."
I'm sure many fans are just as excited as I am that Naughty Dog is working on The Last of Us. If anyone does a PS3-exclusive right, it's them. One thing that particularly stood out in the trailer were the remarkable graphics of the environment. Of course, anyone familiar with Naughty Dog and the Uncharted series should know what they deliver by now.
