Target, Amazon Offering 'Buy 2, Get 1 Free' on Video Games

if video games are high on your holiday shopping list and, let's face it, they probably are, you might interested in checking out the new promotions being run by Target and Amazon.  Running for this week only, these promotions end on November 5th.

This 2011 Holiday season gaming lineup is one of the biggest ever, filled with anticipated launches of big-named titles like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Battlefield 3, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Minecraft, Saints Row: The Third, and Uncharted 3 - to name a few.  Taking into account the steep prices of video games, the downed economy, and the abundance of quality game titles on the market, this is definitely a great opportunity to knock out some games on your loved ones list.  Odds are, if you have a gamer in your house, they probably have AT LEAST three games on their holiday list.

So here's how the deals work:

Amazon's sale, which ends November 5, is offering a third game at no additional charge when you buy two games.  You can take your pick from smash-hit titles like Batman: Arkham City, Gears of War 3, FIFA 12, Dark Souls, and much more.  When ordering, add the three games to your Shopping Cart.  When finished, click the "proceed to checkout" button.  You cart must include all three qualifying items during the checkout process.  On the final checkout page, your lowest-priced item will be discounted.  You should see the credit for the amount in the upper rightcorner of hte Order SUmmary.

Target, is offering a similar buy 2, get 1 free, but has a slightly different selection of titles available.  The games they offer include Uncharted 3, RAGE, Gears of War 3, Madden NFL 12, Epic Mickey, FIFA 12, Forza 4, Batman: Arkham City and much more.  Just like Amazon, the discount will be applied to the item with the lowest cost and the offer expires November 5th.

You don't have to wait until Cyber Monday or Black Friday to get a head start on this year's Holiday shopping spree.
