Success! Ni no Kuni Coming to North America

Just yesterday I was talking about how I truly wanted Ni no Kuni, the RPG collaboration between Level-5 and Studio Ghibli, to come to North America. Hell, a lot of gamers have been hoping for some news regarding a localization for this beautiful project. Well, it looks like our wish has been granted, folks!

At TGS, Level-5 President Akihiro Hino confirmed that Ni no Kuni would indeed be localized for North America, reports GameSpot. According to Hino, the localization is currently in development and will launch in early 2012. That's not a long wait by any means, and we now have another game to look forward to when the new year comes around.

Now, as some of you know, Ni no Kuni is both a PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS title. Hino's announcement for a North American release only centered on the PlayStation 3 version of the game. There's still no word on whether we'll get the DS iteration. Here's hoping we do, though, because both versions of the game look like awesome titles for their respective platforms.

So when can we pre-order this thing, huh? I want my copy reserved and my place in the universe as a future owner of Ni no Kuni cemented in stone. Who's with me here?
