Sonic 4 Gets Price Drop
When I first played Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 1, I got a nice kick of nostalgia. Sure, the physics were a bit different from the original Genesis games and the level design wasn't perfect, but I thought the game was a proper return to old school for the blue blur. There are countless gamers out there who will disagree with me, but those are just my sentiments.
When Sonic 4 launched last year, it was available on download platforms for $15. Not a shabby price by any means. Now, though, it seems that Sega has deemed it as good a time as any to reduce the price of this nostalgic side-scroller.
You can snag the downloadable game on Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network for just $10. That's pretty sweet, and if you haven't already played Sonic 4, I would suggest you check it out. No, it's not perfect, but I still think it's a great game. Just don't get all picky with the physics and all that. Seriously.
Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if the WiiWare version will be reduced in price, what with everyone ignoring the Wii's download shop. Here's hoping this price cut paves the way for some more Sonic 4 news. I really want to play Episode 2 already, so get on that, Sega!
