SNES Street Fighter 2 trilogy coming to Wii U Virtual Console this week

Score one for the Wii U Virtual Console! Earlier today, Capcom announced that it is releasing ports of three Super Nintendo games — all Street Fighter — on the Wii U Virtual Console. The best part is that they're releasing this week in North America and Europe, something that's quite refreshing considering all of the delays for everything Wii U related.

The three SNES games are:

  • Street Fighter 2 – 1992
  • Street Fighter 2 Turbo – 1993
  • Super Street Fighter 2 – 1994

The three games can already be found on the Wii Virtual Console, but Miiverse support comes with the Wii U version.

If you're wondering how much they will cost, there's deals in place to help ease the burden on your wallet. Each of the games will cost $7.99, but if you live in North America and buy any of the three games, you will get a 50% discount on either of the other two titles. And if you've already bought the Wii Virtual Console versions, you can upgrade to the Wii U versions for $1.50.
