SEGA SHIPS Dinosaur King For NINTENDO DS TO RETAILERS IN NORTH AMERICA
Prehistoric Giants Return to Life and Are At Your Command
SEGA® of America, Inc. today announced that Dinosaur King™ for Nintendo DS™ has shipped to retailers nationwide. Based on the animated series currently running on the CW4Kids Saturday morning block, Dinosaur King delivers an RPG gaming experience authentic to the animated series with fun exploration, epic dinosaur battles and an exciting plotline. The game features over 100 different dinosaurs to collect, and five different regions of Earth to explore for dinosaur fossils. Dinosaur King is rated E for Everyone.
Developed by SEGA Studios Japan, Dinosaur King takes gamers on an archeological adventure around the globe with upgradable radar and drilling equipment to unearth cultural artifacts and fossils. Playing as either Max or Rex, gamers must traverse the globe to find and piece together a mysterious ancient artifact that possesses supernatural powers. The only problem is that evil Dr. Z and his Alpha Gang are on the same mission and will stop at nothing to succeed.
The multitude of dinosaurs in the game must be unearthed in fossil form and cleaned in a lab before being reanimated and made ready for battle. Each discovered dinosaur is entered into a dino encyclopedia containing information such as their complete scientific designation and a size chart comparing their size to either Max or Rex. Players can adjust their strengths and weaknesses and select super-powered elemental moves that enhance their dino skills on the field of battle. With Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, two players can battle each other at the same time for dino supremacy or trade rare dinosaurs and rare items to expand their collection.
Dinosaur King for Nintendo DS is available now in stores nationwide.
