Sega announces Alexandria Bloodshow for iOS

Today Sega teased their next game for iOS—a tower defense game called Alexandria Bloodshow. If the name isn't enough to rile you up, the concept ought to be: Gamers will travel 3,000 years in the past and assume control of an Egyptian or Greek army in an epic battle concentrated around the Aegean Sea.

Available on the iOS App Store this spring, Alexandria Bloodshow peels the hieroglyphs and drawings off the walls and pottery of ancient Egypt and Greece and brings them to life in a grand attempt to rewrite history.

The first game in the series, Samurai Bloodshow—a "trading-card-based strategic-defense game"—is currently on sale for 99 cents, although as of this writing the change has not yet been reflected in the App store. The game boasts a five-star customer rating.
