Scarygirl lands on PSN today, DLC "in the works"

Last week, graphic novel-turned-video game Scarygirl was released on Xbox Live Arcade. The game, which is based on Nathan Jurevicius' hand-drawn project of the same name, is a 2D platformer with tons of color and eerie charm. Well, if you're a PlayStation 3 owner and you've been waiting to snag the Square Enix-published side-scroller, you can now do so on the PlayStation Network.

Scarygirl launches today on Sony's download shop, and while I haven't seen it pop up in the PlayStation Store just yet, I'm sure we can expect it fairly shortly. The game was priced at 1200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Arcade, which means you can expect an equal yet much less confusing price tag of $15 on the PlayStation Network.

In addition to the announcement of Scarygirl's PlayStation Network launch, developer TikGames revealed some interesting information. As stated on Twitter, it looks like there are currently plans for releasing some DLC for the game down the road. "DLC is definitely in the works," tweeted TikGames. "Can't confirm what or when yet, though."

I'm really looking forward to playing Scarygirl in the near future. That may take a while, though, especially considering I've got a huge pile of games that I received for Christmas, plus some downloadable titles I'll be reviewing pretty soon. In any case, Scarygirl is a thing I want, and I want it now!

Stay tuned for more as we'll be reviewing Scarygirl right here on GameZone in the not-too-distant future.
