SANITY: AIKEN’S ARTIFACT AVAILBLE IN STORES NOW,
GAME STARS ICE T AS VOICE OF LEAD CHARACTER

Launch Latest Fox Interactive PC Game
LOS ANGELES (September 22, 2000) ? Fox Interactive announced today that Sanity:
Aiken’s Artifact on PC CD-ROM is now available at retail stores nationwide. This
science-fiction adventure game lets fans assume the heroic role of Agent Cain,
voiced by hip-hop superstar Ice T, to save the world from evil.
In support of the game, Dark Horse Comics recently published a comic book based
on the Sanity: Aiken’s Artifact storyline. In addition, IGN.com and Fox
Interactive will sponsor an online trivia sweepstakes on the official Sanity:
Aiken’s Artifact fansite (www.ragesofsanity.com) and game website (
www.sanitygame.com). Sweepstakes prizes include a Nokia cellular phone, a copy
of the game, an autographed picture of Ice T, a Sanity skull cap and a Sanity
T-shirt.
To further enhance launch efforts, Best Buy retail outlets is offering the
exclusive title track CD
“Sanity”, performed by Ice T’s hard rock band Body Count, with every purchase of
the Sanity: Aiken’s Artifact game.
In a new and innovative way, Fox Interactive also offers gamers exclusive bonus
Talents, or Psionic weapons, which add to the replay-value of the game and
strengthen the player’s arsenal power in multiplayer. Players can collect
exclusive Talents by either obtaining the November issue of PC Gamer magazine,
pre-ordering the game at Electronics Boutique, or purchasing the Talent Pack on
the Real Networks website.
“A unique feature in the game is the ability to collect and trade Talents
(Psionic weapons) online,” stated Rozita Tolouey, Brand Manager, Fox
Interactive. “This collectible feature provides additional replay-ability and
creates an online trading community, which we will continue to support as we
release more Talents in the future.”
About the Game
Sanity: Aiken’s Artifact is a story-driven game that features over 20 single
player and 10 multi-player levels and stars the lead character voice of Grammy
Award-winner Ice T as Agent Cain. In the near future, citizens around the world
have begun to display remarkable psychic abilities. Called Psionics, these
tormented souls are able to generate energy emissions using only their minds –
often with catastrophic and deadly results. Succumbing to the lure of the power
they possess, these Psionics will stop at nothing to achieve control of the
universe… one man, Agent Cain, a powerful Psionic working for an elite
government agency, stands against them, risking his own sanity to save ours.
Cain fights with eight Totems (fighting styles) and more than 80 Talents
(Psionic weapons). In order to progress through the game, players can earn
different Talents such as Fireball, Mummy’s Revenge and Wall of Bones. The game
also features two multiplayer modes: Deathmatch and Insanity. Multiplay for up
to eight players via LAN and the Internet is also available.
Sanity: Aiken’s Artifact was developed by Seattle-based Monolith Productions,
Inc. and has an ESRB rating of Teen. The game is available now at an estimated
street price of $44.98.
