Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space Lands on PSN

The Sam & Max series made its PlayStation Network debut back in April 2010 with Sam & Max: The Devil's Playhouse. I know this because I wrote all about it for another site as a volunteer contributor when I was still trying to land a solid paying gig in this crazy world of video game journalism. Here we are a significant amount of time later, and Sam & Max is back on the PlayStation Network. This time, however, I'm actually getting paid to write this!

Before you jump to any conclusions, I should probably clarify that this isn't a brand new Sam & Max game. Instead, the jolly folks over at Telltale Games are going back and releasing Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space for Sony's digital download shop. The download includes all of the episodes from the second season of this awesome adventure franchise, so if you've missed out on it before, now's your chance to catch up.

Telltale's release method for Sam & Max on the PlayStation Network has been a bit strange. After releasing the third season first and now following that up with the second season today, it appears the company is going backwards. So I guess we can expect the first season somewhere down the road.

You can snag Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space for $19.99 starting today. According to the announcement post on the PlayStation Blog, you can also get the Sam & Max: MAX Pack, which includes both Beyond Time and Space and The Devil's Playhouse. If you're in the mood for some quality adventure gameplay and have yet to check out these titles, now would definitely be a great time to get right to it.
