Salem: The Crafting MMO enters open beta, has weird pilgrim dudes

Paradox Interactive announced this week that Salem: The Crafting MMO has officially entered open beta. You can engage in open world adventuring, PvP attacks, and crafting (duh).

Salem features a quirky art style, comically mature themes, and lighthearted characters. There are various settlements (many of which feud with one another), a structured economy, and even vigilantes seeking justice. Death in Salem is permanent, so be careful as you go out and hunt animals or take on other players.

The trailer below gives a bit of insight into the world and characters in this MMO. If you dig the genre and are looking for something more humorous, check out the Salem beta on the game's official site.
