Saints Row: The Third Trailer Parodies Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3

It's safe to say everybody in the gaming community is sick of all the Battlefield 3 vs Modern Warfare 3 talk.  Between the "news", trailers, and trash talking it's been enough for a lifetime.  We get it.  They are both first person shooters, both companies hate each other, and both want to rule the 2011 Holiday season.

Well now it looks like there is a dark horse in the sales race. Apparently, THQ is also fed up with all of the MW3/BF3 hype, and has responded with a trailer of their own.  The new Saints Row: The Third trailer parodies the ridiculous Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 announcement trailers that have been shoved down our throats week after week.

Spoofing the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 intro, the new trailer begins with the radio signal and wireframe graphics rendered in purple.  From there, it shows all the ridiculous gameplay footage just like the footage shown in the repetitive DICE and Activision trailers.  Throw in some hardcore music, quick-cut explosion scenes, and over-the-top action sequences ending with the Battlefield 3 perpetual static and you've got yourself a trailer --  at least one that's up to DICE and Activision standards.

It really just goes to show you how ridiculously similar and repetivie the DICE and Activision trailers have become.
