Saints Row 4 "Wilder" Than The Third

That's right, you read that headline correct.  Saints Row 4 is wilder than Saints Row: The Third, at least according to THQ's Danny Bilson.

Saints Row: The Third isn't even out yet and we're already beginning to talk about the next installment to the very successful Saints franchise. Ah, how quickly the video game industry turns.  It seems we're at a point now where even looking forward to DLC is too much.  No, no, we've passed DLC.  Now we want to know what the entire next title will be.

Luckily, THQ's Danny Bilson has given us a little insight as to what's in store for us with the future of the franchise.  In an interview on X-Play airing tomorrow on G4, Bilson revealed, "I know what Saints Row 4 is about, and it is wilder than this one."

Referring to keeping open world games fresh and how they plan on evolving the franchise, Bilson responded, "Like any game, if you have a great creative core to it, you just keep exploiting that core and mining it and digging it."

"It's a good example of how you take what you have and you say, 'What can happen in the next?'".

While it doesn't sound like Saints Row 4 will be anything revolutionary, it's safe to say that it will be bigger than the current one slated for release on November 15th.  I think Bilson has a valid point when he says when you have a good product, you need to explore every nook and cranny about it.  Saints Row has a successful, creative core and I don't think THQ is ready to abandon that just yet, nor should they.

From my experience with the game so far, fans are in for quite a treat with Saints Row: The Third.  Check back on November 11th for my full review of  the game.
