Resident Evil: Revelations drops to $40

Capcom surprised many by announced that Resident Evil: Revelations would be retailing for $50, the Nintendo 3DS title apparently requiring a larger capacity cartridge, which added to the manufacturing costs. As epic as the survival horror title looked, many wondered whether it would be an easy sell, especially given that most blockbuster 3DS titles (Zelda, Mario) are reguarly priced at $40.

Thankfully, Revelation's price point is no longer worth discussing, now that Capcom has announced it will retail for the standard 3DS of $39.99. So, if you're looking for a new portable hit know that you'll theoretically be saving a bit of cash. Unless this was all some sort of weird psychological stunt meant to make the game seem like a deal despite retailing for what would normally be considered full-price...

Uh... go read our own Michael Splechta's 9.0 review of the game. I need to call my therapist.
