Rayman Origins 3DS set to launch in Europe this March
Ubisoft has officially announced the launch of Rayman Origins for the Nintendo 3DS. Actually, let me rephrase that. Ubisoft has officially announced the launch of Rayman Origins for the Nintendo 3DS in Europe.
According to Official Nintendo Magazine, the limb-less hero's recent adventure is set to hit Nintendo's dual screen handheld on March 16. Sadly, we still have no word on when that version of the game will land in North America. Now that Ubisoft has announced it for Europe, though, it's possible we'll get an update on the North American 3DS version soon.
Origins launched for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii back in November, and though it hasn't exactly fared especially well from a commercial standpoint, it's one of last year's better releases, and arguably the best platformer of 2011. Despite low sales, the game has received much critical praise. GameZone's own Ben PerLee awarded Origins an awesome 9 / 10 score.
If you'd rather not wait for Origins on the 3DS, why not support the current console version? Heck, it's only 20 bucks at Toys "R" Us. Here's hoping Origins receives a warm welcome on the 3DS. Let's also hope the North American version is officially announced sooner rather than later.
