PS3 Gets Devil May Cry Collection

It is being reported by Gematsu that a Devil May Cry HD collection is headed to PlayStation 3. According to a source close to the site, the compilation will be officially announced at E3 next week. Details are scarce at the moment, but the collection is directly linked to the series' 10th anniversary.

No word on whether or not all of the games will be included on the disc, but given the critical success of Devil May Cry, let's hope all previous entries are playable. This should definitely spell good news for longtime fans, and you can bet they'll be waiting for more news at E3. Even gamers who have yet to play the games in their original state should be interested in this collection, as the Devil May Cry games are known for their satisfying hack-and-slash gameplay.

According to the same source, a second compilation is also in store for fans. Unfortunately, details on this release are completely under wraps. What could the developers be so secretive about? Could they have a special collector's edition with cool swag planned? Will it provide a look at the next game in the series? It's all up for speculation at the moment.

E3 2011 starts next week on Tuesday, June 7. There are bound to be plenty of major reveals at the show, so stay tuned. And for all of you Devil May Cry fans, be sure to watch out for the announcement of the exclusive PlayStation 3 collection.
