Portal 2 Gets Huge Discount This Weekend

According to the Facebook page KmartGamer, those who've waiting for a Portal 2 price drop will be rewarded. Starting May 1, the game will be on sale for a mere $34.99 on PS3 and 360. The deal won't apply to the 360 version of the game.

That's a huge drop for a game that's been out for less than two weeks. Perhaps the arguments toward the game's length have something to do with this uncharacteristically big sale? Either way, if you've waited for that reason, Portal 2 just went from slight rip-off to extreme value.

While it's true that the game lacks replayability, the enjoyment you get out of the initial playthrough is well worth the price of admission, especially at that price. Don't believe me? Read our full review to get the detailed rundown of the experience.

I, unfortunately, went the day one route. Even though I'll probably play a bit more for achievements and then never touch it again, it's an experience I'll never forget. It's well worth $34.99, so rush over to Kmart when the game goes on sale this Sunday.
