Polar Games 2 Takes Pool, Golf to Comedic New Level

MumboJumbo launches sequel to smash hit Polar Games at retailers nationwide today

The wild and zany polar bears that more than 13 million players have come to know and love are back. Today MumboJumbo launched WildTangent’s Polar Games 2 at retailers throughout North America. The latest installment takes players from the tropics to the poles and features Polar Pool and Polar Golfer: Pineapple Cup.

The much anticipated sequel to Polar Games, the duo out today provides players with comical takes on billiards and golf. In Polar Pool, the bears are back in another cool sport playing classics like 8 and 9-ball pool and the quirky Power Pool. The game offers solo and multiplayer modes and lets players unlock new characters and a variety of tables. Polar Golfer: Pineapple Cup features nine- and 18-hole courses, tropical fairways and all new natural disasters and hazards. Players can choose from eight characters, including favorites Walrus, Gopher and Santa and new characters Hula Girl and Tiki Guy.

MumboJumbo, an industry leader in casual games, said that Polar Games 2 looks to offer up dynamic content to its loyal audience. “We’re very proud to bring Polar Games 2 to retailers nationwide—both Polar Golfer Pineapple Cup and Polar Pool bring challenging and comical content to the 13 million fans of the original,” said Mark Cottam, CEO of MumboJumbo.

Polar Games 2 launches on the heels of a Parks Associate report that stated 34 percent of U.S. Internet households play online games on a weekly basis, which was more frequent than the percentages of households watching online videos like YouTube or social networking through sites like MySpace and Facebook.

Polar Games 2 is rated ‘E’ for Everyone with a descriptor for “Comic Mischief” and is on sale at national retailers for $19.99.
