PLAYSTATION 3 Exclusive Title LittleBigPlanet Guest appearance by Old Snake from the Metal Gear Solid series, and Sephiroth from the Final Fantasy VII series!

Downloadable add-on content for worldwide release in collaboration with these two hit series!

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan at this year’s Tokyo Game Show, announces downloadable add-on content for the PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive title LittleBigPlanet. The announced add-on will tie-in with the Metal Gear Solid series from Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. and the Final Fantasy VII series from Square Enix Co., Ltd.

The collaborative content tied-in with Konami Digital Entertainment’s Metal Gear Solid series includes an in-game costume based on Old Snake, the lone-wolf star of the PS3® exclusive mega-hit Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Once Sackboy Snake infiltrates the world of LittleBigPlanet, things will never be the same!

The collaborative content tied-in with Square Enix’s Final Fantasy VII series includes an in-game costume based on Sephiroth, the wildly popular Final Fantasy VII character and great favourite amongst gamers. When Sackboy transforms into the charismatic Sephiroth, your perspective on LittleBigPlanet will transform with him!

These two featured costumes are only one of the items included in each of the downloadable add-ons. Each exciting pack will include additional costumes and items, and will be available for purchase by download at the PlayStation®Store in all regions, including Japan, Europe, and North America. Further details and announcements will be made as their release approaches.

The much-anticipated October 24th launch of LittleBigPlanet is just around the corner. These add-on collaborations showcasing major PS3® stars are just two examples of the ways in which the LittleBigPlanet platform offers limitless possibilities when combined with the power of imagination and linked to the network.
