PlayStation Vita freezing on users

Another really hyped handheld gaming system, another rocky launch. The PlayStation Vita launched in Japan this past Saturday, but not without some problems. According to ShackNews, PS Vita owners have been experiencing freezing while playing games, as well as while installing the day-one system update.

There was a video posted on YouTube of one of these error/freezing problems.

While I don't read Japanese, whenever there's a screen like that, you know it's not good. Watching this guy press the 'OK' button over and over made me feel sad. I wanted it to unfreeze so bad.

Now, I don't think this will hamper sales of the system at all. Little problems like this are bound to happen, and that's why we have Japan – to beta test the things we'll be getting soon after them. The Vita hits the stores of North America and Europe on February 22, 2012.
