PlayStation Home update brings more content and collectibles

Home is a dramatically underused feature on the PlayStation 3, but those who still find appeal in the interactive online community can expect more content and collectibles this Wednesday, March 14. Details are below.

This week introduces Enkomi the Minotaur (available in the Lockwood Publishing store), various companions (like the Mini Yeti) and costumes, and even a Freestyle Dance Floor.

Digital Leisure, developers of The Casino, is releasing the Old West Saloon personal space, complete with three games: Blackjack, Darts, and Liar’s Dice. Rewards include clothing, such as a wearable burlap sack, and furniture, like "Wanted Poster" picture frames.

Players can also enter the Wardrobe Wars/E3 Sweepstakes by trying out Wardrobe Wars, a new game and fashion competition that hands out special virtual items to players. Sony will choose a random winner (plus one friend) between now and March 21st, 2012 to send to E3 with round-trip airfare, hotel, transportation, and spending cash.

Another game, Fossil Excavation, in Granzella’s Southern Island Retreat challenges players to dig for buried fossils without severing the scaffolding's ropes. The Wedding Ceremony game lets players say their "I do's" in mock matrimony.

Another Tester 3 Quest will show on the Activity Board. Players can unlock a reward for watching the new episode in the PlayStation Home Theater. Lastly, another Disposable Film Festival will take place on March 22.
