PlayStation 4 will support four controllers on one console, unlike seven on the PS3

Microsoft has confirmed that up to eight controllers will work on a single Xbox One simultaneously. This means that Microsoft better have some crazy party titles in store to utilize that high number of controllers. The PlayStation 3 offered a somewhat odd number of controllers connected at one time, seven. So how many can we connect on the PS4?

Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony, has recently answered that question on his twitter, which you can see below.

While it is odd that Sony would opt for a lower amount of controllers on the PS4, when the PS4 supported seven, at the same time, you have to really wonder just how many people actually utilize that feature.

Will you miss the ability to have more than four controllers on your PS4?
