Oregon Trail Headed to Wii

I remember being a kid and going to my school library's computer lab every week. Aside from writing short essays, my class also got the chance to play some educational video games. One of those games was The Oregon Trail. Ah, good times.

These days, you can play The Oregon Trail on a number of different platforms. Still, that isn't stopping the game from landing on the Wii. I swear I'm not making this up. Don't believe me? Well, it's all on Amazon if you need proof.

The Oregon Trail is scheduled to release for Nintendo's shiny console on December 9. That's this Friday for those of you who want the specifics and really can't wait for the game's launch.

It should be noted that this version of the game allows you to drive your own wagon. There are also four different storylines and three different time periods, which is certainly interesting as far this game is concerned.

You can get your very own copy of The Oregon Trail for the Wii for the budget price of $19.99. This is certainly one AAA release that came out of nowhere. I am, of course, being totally sarcastic.
