Orcs Must Die! Demo Released, Now Available for Pre-Purchase on Steam

Orcs Must Die! is now available for pre-purchase on Steam for $14.99, but for those of you who can't wait to begin the slaughter, you can play the demo available on Steam. The demo allows you to battle through the first three fortresses of the game honing their trap-laying and orc-slaying skills before the game is available on October 12th.

The Orcs Must Die! pre-order will unlock an exclusive code for a "Knight of the Order" downloadable costume for the War Mage, the game's main character.  Once unlocked, you can play through the entire campaign of Orcs Must Die! wearing the custom armor and wielding the mighty Hammer of War in place of the War Mage’s trusty Bladestaff.

In addition to the pre-order "Knight of the Order" costume, Robot Entertainment is also hosting an "Orc Slayer" community challenge.  The challenge is to kill 250 million orcs.  When you lay to rest a quarter of a billion enemy invaders, a free "Orc Slayer" costume will unlock for the entire PC community.  The “Orc Slayer” features a darker, more menacing version of the War Mage’s standard costume, and he carries a deadly, dual-bladed version of the Bladestaff.

Better start practicing with the demo, now available for PC.
