Official 3DS Launch Lineup and Pricing Details

March 27 is slowly drawing near, and for many of you that means you'll be able to get your hands on a brand new Nintendo 3DS on launch day. Up until now, many gamers have been wondering about the official pricing for games as well as the complete day one release list. Nintendo has revealed details regarding first-party software, announcing that Nintendo-developed titles will be priced at $39.99. We can expect most third-party titles to sell for the same price, with a few titles possibly running at $34.99.

At launch, you'll get to choose between 18 different titles, three of them being first-party releases:

These are 13 of the confirmed third-party launch games:

Asphalt 3D Bust-a-Move Universe Combat of Giants: Dinosaurs 3D LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars Madden NFL Football Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 3D Rayman 3D Ridge Racer Samurai Warriors: Chronicles The Sims 3D Super Monkey Ball 3D Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars

For many gamers, this batch leaves a lot to be desired. There are a handful of noteworthy titles to watch out for and the usual round of questionable releases, but overall the list is a bit light, especially in terms of first-party software. After E3, you can expect Nintendo's big franchises to appear on the upcoming handheld with games like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Kid Icarus: Uprising, and Mario Kart arriving in 2011.
