NVIDIA driver update prepares for The Division beta, optimizes for Rise of the Tomb Raider

Oh, there's a bug that comes with the update too!

Xbox One owners have had their extra time with The Division, now it's time for PlayStation 4 and PC players to get in on the closed beta. Tomorrow, servers for the beta will go live and stay live until Sunday, January 31st.

If you're a PC player using an NVIDIA driver, you'll want to be sure that your PC is ready for The Division. Luckily, NVIDIA has released a driver update that is said to offer "performance optimizations, other tweaks, and a 2-Way and 3-Way SLI profile that gives you the performance to play with 4x Supersampling Anti-Aliasing enabled, at 4K, or in super wide Surround screen modes."

In addition to offering "optimal playable settings" for The Division, the driver update will optimize Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Of course, if you choose to download the driver update, you should be aware of the bug that users are reporting. Once downloaded, users are reporting that their computers are offering to "Safely Eject" their graphics card. This bug is likely due to external graphics support, but you might not want to hit the eject button.
