No More Heroes Goes Mobile

No More Heroes has landed on iOS and Android devices. Now, before you go lookiing for the game on your phone, you should know that it's only available in Japan. If you're disappointed right now, you have every right to be.

Titled No More Heroes for Mobage, the game is published by Marvelous AQL. According to Andriasang, the title is described as a "social assassin battle." That's pretty interesting, and though the game looks a lot like its console counterparts, there are said to be a number of features that differentiate it from the original No More Heroes.

The game features co-op and competitive play, which is certainly new, as well as new items. Because it's labeled as a social game, though, the addition of multiplayer elements shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. As expected, the controls have been completely reworked around a touchscreen interface.

Going back to the reveal that No More Heroes for Mobage is currently only available in Japan, it's quite possible that we'll see a North American release. Mobage is currently working on setting up shop on our side of the planet, so anything's possible. Here's hoping No More Heroes for Mobage provides an enjoyable mobile experience and ultimately finds its way to North America.
