Nintendo of Europe celebrating the 5 year anniversary of the eShop's launch with massive sale

Metroid, Donkey Kong and Zelda get price cuts of up to 50% off

The Nintendo eShop just turned five years old and Nintendo of Europe has decided to celebrate its birthday with a huge sale. The discounts are pretty hefty as they range from 25%-50% off and will last from June 9th to June 23rd.

There are some pretty big games on the list, which you can find on the official Nintendo website, but here are a few of the highlights.

  • Child of Light (Wii U download software)
  • Donkey Kong 64 (Nintendo 64) (Virtual Console)
  • EarthBound (Super Nintendo) (Virtual Console)
  • F-ZERO (Super Nintendo) (Virtual Console)
  • Kirby's Adventure (NES) (Virtual Console)
  • Metroid Prime Trilogy (Wii download version)
  • NES™ Remix 1 + 2 (Wii U download software)
  • Super Mario Bros. 3 (NES) (Virtual Console)
  • Super Mario Galaxy 2 (Wii download version)
  • Super Mario World (Super Nintendo) (Virtual Console)
  • Super Mario 64 (Nintendo 64) (Virtual Console)
  • Super Metroid (Super Nintendo) (Virtual Console)
  • The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (Super Nintendo) (Virtual Console)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (Nintendo 64) (Virtual Console)
  • The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap (Game Boy Advance) (Virtual Console)

It's worth mentioning that this sale is for Europe only and there is no indication that this will hit the US. Though it's not necessarily out of the realm of possibility.
