Nintendo denies Wii U's death, again

Earlier this week it was rumored that the Wii U would be ending production this week. It was rumored earlier that Nintendo would end the Wii U's production cycle this year and at the time of the first rumor, Nintendo denied that the Wii U would be seeing its end so soon.

Once again, Nintendo is denying the rumor.

"There is no change to our continuing [Wii U] production," a Nintendo spokesperson said to the Japanese site IT Media, as translated by Kotaku. The spokesperson explicitly stated that the rumor was "not true" before going on to add that the console was continuing production well into next year. "Even though the Nintendo Switch is slated to go on sale, [Wii U] production is scheduled to continue. From the next quarter and thereafter as well, production [of the Wii U] is scheduled to continue.”

Nintendo has denied things that ended up to be true before, but when it comes to the Wii U we won't really know until it's official.
