Ni no Kuni Has Players Hunting Monsters Through DLC

I've been waiting for an excuse to write about Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. I figured I'd have to wait until the game's North American launch next year to do so, but I'm glad that's not the case. Earlier today, Siliconera reported on some DLC for Level-5 and Studio Ghibli's beautiful RPG, and it looks like there are plans of keeping the game going for some time.

Upon beating Ni no Kuni, players will have the opportunity to track down a new monster. Titled The Red Hot Diva, this quest that tasks you with searching for and taming a new beast. It's not all hunting, though. The Strongest Weapon is a downloadable quest that has you scavenging for items as you help two characters who have just opened up a weapons shop.

There will also be some downloadable trinkets that you can use in your adventure. This DLC, along with the two quests mentioned above, are available to Ni no Kuni players in Japan right now. There will also be a second DLC set arriving on January 5, and a third on January 15.

Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is due out on North American PlayStation 3 consoles sometime next year. Here's hoping these DLC sets make their way to our part of the globe, too.
