Next Assassin's Creed to include co-op?
Assassin's Creed 3 made tremendous leaps with its multiplayer game mode this year. Yes, the single-player story and campaign was just as great as we expected, but the multiplayer aspect was surprisingly well done. Moving forward, it looks like Ubisoft wants to continue this trend of multiplayer gameplay.
If a recent Ubisoft survey is any indication, the studio could be looking to improve the game's solo mode...with the addition of co-op gameplay. The survey, made public by The Gaming Liberty, asks a series of questions covering Assassin's Creed 3 and the future of the franchise. The questions range from the general satisfaction with gameplay and story to other potential features such as cooperative play. The survey even goes so far as to ask consumers to rate their experience with Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception.
The big question seems to be how players feel about the "possibility for a friend to join the game in order to help" at any time during the solo mode, suggesting co-op gameplay could be the big feature in the next installment of the franchise.
It's also interesting that despite Ubisoft's stance on annualizing the Assassin's Creed franchise, they felt compelled to ask fans how likely they are to purchase the next Assassin's Creed game if it were to become available next year.
If you didn't get a chance to respond in the survey, let us know below. Do you like the idea of co-op in Assassin's Creed? And how likely are you to buy the next one if it is released next year?
