Japan is getting yet another majestic RPG to release alongside The Last Story and Xenoblade. Pandora’s Tower is an action RPG set in a mystical world. Players will engage in real-time battles and take out enemies by hacking, slashing, and smashing them with different types of weapons and attacks.
Judging by the game’s trailer, Pandora’s Tower looks to feature an emotional story centered around two characters: Ende and Ceres. As Ende, you must enter a massive tower and slay countless beasts in to find a cure for Ceres’ curse. The tower itself looks quite menacing, but it has a definite sense of artistry in its design.
Gameplay seems to take place in a tower crawling with enemies and large bosses. From the looks of it, Pandora’s Tower seems like a promising dungeon crawler, sure to please niche RPG fans. Gamers who enjoy more fast-paced thrills and challenging battles are sure to find intrigue in Pandora’s Tower.
No word on whether the game will launch outside of Japan, but hopefully developer Ganbarion sees how much North American and European audiences want some solid RPGs for the Wii. Pandora’s Tower will launch in Japan on May 26.
