New Xbox One deal beats the crap out of Sony’s PS4 promotion

Microsoft adds free game on top of discounted Xbox One purchase

Not to be outdone by Sony's bundling of the PS4 with a free copy of The Last of Us: Remastered, Microsoft is taking its already cheaper Xbox One and throwing in a free game of your choice.

Over on the Microsoft Store, for presumably a limited time, you can select one of the $349 Xbox One consoles and pick one of the following games to receive for free:

  • Titanfall ($29.99 value)
  • Madden NFL 15 ($59.99 value)
  • Call of Duty: Ghosts ($24.99)
  • Battlefield 4 ($29.99)

Not that I'm an expert or anything, but I'm about to give you a pro-tip. Select the Assassin's Creed Unity Bundle, which is the same price as the standalone Xbox One, and you'll also get Assassin's Creed Unity and Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for free. For those of you who weren't the greatest at math, that's three games and an Xbox One for $349. Comparatively, a PlayStation 4 with a free copy of The Last of Us: Remastered is priced at $399.

Your move, Sony.
