New image of Assassin’s Creed ‘Empire’ leaks online; Confirms Egypt

Egypt over Feudal Japan!

Even though we aren't getting a new Assassin's Creed this year (and might not next year either), we can still get a look at the upcoming Assassin's Creed game, well, that is if these leaks are really showing off the upcoming game.

A new image, for Assassin's Creed Empire has leaked on Reddit. The image shows off a developer build of the game but supports claims of the game's name, as well as the setting of Egypt.

Below, you'll see the image with "Assassin's Creed Empire" in the upper right-hand corner and a pyramid on the screen.

Empire

Back in January, details of the next Assassin's Creed leaked online. According to the leak, the upcoming Assassin's Creed game is codenamed 'Empire' and will be aiming for a "Witcher feel." It was also detailed to be set in Egypt, before the Assassin's and Templars existed, making it a prequel to all Assassin's Creed games.

Along with the leak came a screenshot from 2012 (seen above), back when it first leaked on Ubisoft forums it was thought to be an image from a Prince of Persia game. However, in light of new details, it was realized that the leaked image was actually from Assassin's Creed Empire.

Empire was said to be "a lot less recycled" and will have players playing as a former slave.
