New Call of Duty: Black Ops Patch Released

Though Modern Warfare 3 launches tomorrow, plenty of recession-minded gamers will likely still be playing last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops, rather than immediately opting for this pricey new sequel. Thankfully, Activision hasn't abandoned these players yet, with a new patch for the PC version of the game coming to Steam.

This minor patch fixes up the mismatch errors that have been occuring when players owning the 'Rezurrection' map pack try to play with gamers who don't. The favorites tab has also been expanded to allow up to 256 servers, meaning if you really have 256 different servers you like to play on, you can now keep track of them all!

Overall, a pretty boring patch, but a sign that the Black Ops community won't be entirely ignored come the release of Modern Warfare 3. Will you be at tonight's midnight launch?
