Have you ever wondered what type of Destiny player other people in your state are? Are you in the majority of people playing Warlocks or you in the minority running around with a Hunter? There's finally an unofficial way of knowing the answer to those questions.

Using Google Adwords and Google Trends, Zippia mapped out which states in the United States were more populated with Hunter, Warlock or Titan players and which subclasses each state subscribed to. Zippia did reach out to Bungie for official stats, but they never replied. Zippia didn't want to see their results get mixed in with other searches, so they were sure to only count searches that included 'Destiny 2' in them.

Because the search is limited to including 'Destiny 2' in the search it could be skewed – so – take everything below with a fun grain of salt.

Destiny 2 Maps

These are the most common primary classes in Destiny 2 are as follows:

  1. Warlock
  2. Titan
  3. Hunter

Destiny 1 was pretty much the exact opposite with:

  1. Hunter
  2. Titan
  3. Warlock

The switch up might have something to do with with the revamped subclasses. Out Destiny 2 brought new subclasses to the mix. Warlocks got Dawnblade, Hunters got Arcstrider, and Titans got Sentinel. What's interesting about the data Zippia found is that while Destiny 2 players adopted the Dawnblade class for Warlocks, they didn't adopt the other new classes.

According to Zippia, Gunslinger remains the most popular Hunter class and Striker is the most popular Titan class. What makes it even worse is that the Arcstrider and Sentinal subclasses appeared at the bottom of the list, next to Sunbreaker.

The most popular subclasses are:

  1. Dawnblade
  2. Gunslinger
  3. Striker
  4. Stormcaller
  5. Nightstalker
  6. Voidwalker
  7. Sentinel
  8. Arcstrider
  9. Sunbreaker

On the next page, you can see a list of which subclasses came first, second, and third in each state.
