More than One Million Registered Users Tearing Up the Streets in Need for Speed World
Black Box revealed today that their massively multiplayer racing game, Need for Speed World, has passed the million mark with more than one million registered users. Additionally, the developer will be introducing new content and features to the game over the coming weeks and months, including more cars, a new world region, and a new co-op pursuit mode, as well as some new performance customization features.
Also starting today, players will be granted full access to the game for free, letting them play the whole game at no cost, while having the ability to purchase SpeedBoost items and even rent cars.
“Need for Speed fans have played a critical role in making Need for Speed World a success. Fan feedback has helped shape every aspect of the experience - whether it’s the creation of a new feature or improving polish and progression,” said John Doyle, Senior Producer, Need for Speed World. “We’re excited to open the gates so that every Need for Speed World player now has free access to all current and future content including new modes, cars, features and more.” Need for Speed World is rated E10+ and is available for free download at world.needforspeed.com.
