Sandlot Games and Twistbox bring action-packed puzzle game to mobile; players compete for fabulous prizes
Sandlot Games today announced the release of Super Slyder as a Play For Prizes game on mobile devices. Through the Play For Prizes format created by Twistbox Games, players can purchase a month-long game subscription and compete against one another for amazing prizes including sports equipment, the latest gadgets, and gift cards from leading retailers such as TicketMaster, Best Buy, Amazon, and Sharper Image. Players can go head-to-head daily, play progressively over a week or month, or enter a mega raffle, all to win iPods, flatscreen TVs and more.
“Super Slyder is a great fit for the Play For Prizes format – its mind-bending puzzles are incredibly easy to play on mobile devices, and perfect for competitive action,” said Daniel Bernstein, founder and CEO of Sandlot Games. “Now new and existing Slyder fans can put their skills to the test and compete against each other for tons of cool prizes. We’re really excited to be partnering with Twistbox so our fan-base can partake in some friendly Super Slyder competition.”
Super Slyder is an action-packed puzzle game that follows the adventures of the lovable, blue, spherical hero Slyder, and the sequel to Sandlot Games’ PC and mobile sensation, Slyder. The game contains more than 280 levels of fast-paced puzzles, nine unique characters with hilarious animations, and endless hours of fun.
Play For Prizes is a Twistbox Games creation that provides competitive play against real people with daily, weekly and monthly tournaments available. All tournament play is asynchronous and players within a seed are given identical game conditions, making it a true test of gaming skill. Play For Prizes is immediately available on Verizon Wireless and will shortly launch with other major carriers worldwide, with a monthly single game subscription costing approximately $3.49 (U.S.) and the unlimited play option of $7.99 (U.S.). Prizes include gift cards to various retailers, mp3 players, iPods, game consoles, digital cameras, flatscreen TVs and more.
“Sandlot Games’ Super Slyder fits the Play For Prizes mold perfectly – the game is straightforward, highly competitive and addictive, and the characters and game play keep you coming back for more,” said Alison Horstmeyer, Vice President, Business Development of Twistbox Games. “The fact that players can win high-value prizes on a daily basis by competing in skill-based, head-to-head tournaments against real players, not only makes the game even more compelling but also drives sustained game subscriptions.”
