Microsoft Inks Deal with Gore Verbinski to Produce Xbox 360 Games

According to Microsoft, their studio has inked a deal with film director Gore Verbinski, and his studio Blind Wink, to create Xbox 360 titles for 2012 and beyond.

The first project for Verbinski and Blind Wink is an unnamed Xbox Live Arcade game for Kinect, but the deal extends out to include other projects that may or may not appear on the 360. While the contract details are complex, Verbinski aims to create stellar, cinematic games for Microsoft and their console.

While Blind Wink has had little experience with games, the studio did produce Rango, which was critically acclaimed. Do you expect Verbinski to produce full Xbox 360 games, or stick to XBLA and use Kinect's features?
