Microsoft Announces New Xbox 360 'Holiday Bundles'

It's the most wonderful time of the year...for gaming companies who attempt to lure shoppers in with great Holiday deals.  Today, Microsoft has announced two new Xbox 360 "Holiday Bundles".  Both options come with 250GB HDD, but the only difference is one includes the Kinect.

For $399, Holiday shoppers this year can get the 250 GB system, Kinect, Kinect Adventures, Carnival Games: Monkey See Monkey Do, and three months of Xbox Live Gold.

For those looking to spend a little less, Microsoft is offering the same 250 GB system bundled with Fable III, and Halo: Reach, plus three months of Xbox Live Gold for only $299.

For those looking to get an Xbox 360 for that special loved one this year, I think the $299 Xbox is the better deal.  It comes with better games, but if you're into the whole "Kinect" thing then that's a pretty good deal too.  Of course, the best Xbox 360 Bundle won't be available until after the 2011 Holiday season.

Both bundles are considerably cheaper, but way less cooler than Microsoft's originally planned Kinect Star Wars bundle, which included a R2-D2 themed console complete with custom sound effects, and a C3-PO gold plated controller.  Unfortunately, the game was delayed to 2012, so it will miss the Holiday rush.
