MGS: Snake Eater 3D Is a Full Remake, Says Kojima

Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D is due out in Japan on March 8, 2012. The game is easily one of the more anticipated 3DS titles, which should come as no surprise because it's a remake of a solid game. You should be aware, however, that Snake Eater 3D will not just be some simple, lazy remake.

In a recent press event taking place in Japan, creator Hideo Kojima briefly discussed Snake Eater 3D. According to the developer, the upcoming 3DS title will not just be a remastered iteration of the original game, reports Siliconera. Instead, the game is being completely rebuilt from the ground up.

Is this good news? Well, I certainly think so. After all, developing a remake completely instead of relying on a past design speaks volumes of a studio's dedication to the product. It's obvious Konami wants to create something truly special with Snake Eater 3D.

If you own a 3DS, be sure to watch out for this remake--this completely re-developed remake. The game looks awesome, and it should provide something that the 3DS gets in very small bursts: an excellent experience.
