Mega Man Appears in New Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 Trailer

Holy crap!  Is Mega Man off the f***in moon!? We don't know for sure, but Capcom seems to be dropping hints that they have something big in planned for Mega Man, who recently had his game Mega Man Legends 3 cancelled

If you remember, in GameZone's interview with Capcom Special Advisor Seth Killian, Vito Gesualdi asked if he could "get Megaman off the moon". Vito has some sick obsession with Mega Man.  Unfortunately, Seth admitted, "We tried.  It didn't work out." Sad, indeed.  But Seth Killian did drop one major hint.

"Hang in there, we may have some Mega Man news....Maybe".

Of course, that could mean a ton of things.  And I'm still skeptical as to whether or not I should trust anything coming from Capcom.

Then, today, Capcom released a new trailer for two new characters in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Phoenix Wright and Nova.  No Mega Man announcement or anything.  However, it was recently brought to my attention that Mega Man made an appearance in the background of the UMvC3 trailer released today....sort of.

If you look closely, in the background of one of the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 stages, all of the MvC2 characters that didn't make it back into this game are listed as either Apprehended or Slain.  All except for one, Mega Man!

Mega Man in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3

Now right off the bat this could mean one of four things that I have thought of so far...

  1. Mega Man isn't listed as slain or apprehended because he's stuck on the f***in moon.  How the hell is someone going to kill or catch him?  He should have a label that says M.I.A.
  2. Capcom is, in fact, reviving the Mega Man Legends 3 game!  Judging from Inafune's recent comments about Capcom not accepting his offer to continue working on the game, this one is pretty doubtful.
  3. Mega Man is going to make a comeback in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3!!! This one seems to be the a probable answer.  Judging from Seth Killian's response to Vito in the interview, you could tell he was hiding something.  Check out the interview here.
  4. Vito Gesualdi is just sickly obsessed with Mega Man and looks over every Capcom trailer/screenshot for any hint of Mega Man so he can come up with some wild conspiracy that Mega Man is making a return.  Give it up man, he's never going back.  My money is on this one.

Check out the full trailer released from Capcom today and see if you can spot Mega Man.

Please Capcom, get Mega Man off the f***in moon! Comment below if you agree and want to see Capcom bring back Mega Man.
