Mass Effect 3 Brings the Battle to Earth

Alright internet Matlocks, BioWare has finally revealed their mysterious new game and it’s none other than Mass Effect 3.

Although Ubisoft proved that one year is apparently enough to make a remarkable sequel with Assassins Creed Brotherhood, we really hope Mass Effect 3 manages to become the perfect game the franchise has always bordered so close to being. That being said though, I’m ecstastic that I don’t have to wait too much longer to get my hands on the final entry and Finish the Fight (TM, Microsoft Corporation, 2009, All rights reserved).

“At BioWare, we are always driving ourselves to improve and I firmly believe our best work is still ahead of us,” said Dr. Ray Muzyka, Group General Manager and Co-Founder of BioWare. “We could not be prouder of the team’s accomplishments with Mass Effect 2, and are excited and humbled by all of the recognition the game has received so far. We can’t wait to show you what the team is doing to make Mass Effect 3 an even bigger success.”

I think you mean to make Mass Effect 3 an “even better game”, Ray.

As much as I love the games themselves, I take issue with BioWare’s trailers for Mass Effect and their decision to focus on male Shepard. As Mass Effect is about making Shepard your own, male or female, renegade or paragon, it seems like a poor decision to spotlight a “definitive” Shepard. Why not have all the trailers be from a first-person perspective? Problem solved.
