Madden NFL 12 Week 2 Roster Updates Detailed, Now Available
Alright Madden fans, Donny Moore has just released the Week 2 Roster Update details. The update is now available to download on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 this morning, just in time for the week 2 kickoffs.
There are well over 500+ transactions and player rating adjustments that went into this update for the online rosters, so I'll just give a run down of some of the more important changes.
Now for the negatives. Some of the bigger dropoffs in overall include Donovan McNabb who went from 82 to 79 overall with an awful display last week. Old-timer Kerry Collins dropped from 77 to 75 overall.
Perhaps the most shocking update was #1 overall pick Cam Newton rising to 81 overall, a 4 point jump from his original 77 overall. Although he had a record-breaking debut performance in week 1, Newton will have to keep it up or he could potentially decline.
Aaron Rodgers is finally getting the credit and recognition he deserves. Rodgers now joins Club 99 as he was bumped up one point to 99 overall after his terrific performance vs New Orleans. He now joins QB Tom Brady as the other 99 rated quarterback.
Club 99 also lost a member (at least temporarily). The Steelers got a spanking against the Baltimore Ravens, and as a result Troy Polamalu dropped from 99 overall to 98. That 1 point will hardly make a difference and I'm not sure why he was singled out, but I expect he'll be back in the club soon enough.
Some other notable changes include:
- QB Joe Flacco increased 88 to 89 overall
- HB Ray Rice increased 92 to 93 overall
- WR Steve Smith increased 89 to 91 overall
- TE Jason Witten increased 96 to 97 overall
- WR Randall Cobb increased 70 to 74 overall
- WR Marques Colston removed from depth chart (injury)
