Machinarium confirmed for PlayStation Vita

Another indie game is migrating from PC and other platforms, like mobile, to Sony's platform.

The puzzle-adventure game Machinarium by developer Amanita Design is already available for PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Network. An ESRB rating from last year hinted it might hit the PS Vita as well, but that didn't happen.

Now it is. The upcoming Vita version will include enhancements from the PS3 game and support touch controls. It's due March 26 and will cost $6.99.

Machinarium follows a robot named Josef who sets out to rescue his girlfriend and stop the thuggish trio the Black Cap Brotherhood.

Sony seems to be opening its arms wider to indies. Just recently, Superflat Games announced its hit title Lone Survivor is coming to PlayStation 3 and Vita.

"Sony are doing great work to reduce the amount of bureaucracy needed to make it possible," said Lone Survivor creator Jasper Byrne.
