Lionhead tweets in celebration of National Cleavage Day, internet freaks out

The internet has lost its sense of humor

Apparently, the internet has lost all of its sense of humor.

In recognition of National Cleavage Day — which is an officially recognized day, according to my journalistic research (aka Wikipedia searching skills) — video game developer Lionhead Studios tweeted the following:

Lionhead National Cleavage Day

As you can imagine, the internet freaked out. Because apparently making any sort of joke that recognizes the female body is strictly prohibited — especially in the video game industry.

WIth all the drama surrounding sexism in the video game industry, it has somehow become wrong to tweet — as stupid as it may be — even the slightest joke regarding a female's breasts.

To show they don't "descrimate", Lionhead followed up with another image of a different kind of cleavage.

Lionhead National Cleavage Day

Both were eventually removed as Lionhead caved into the pressure of the now humorless internet.

Maybe I'm just too ignorant, but can someone explain to me what exactly is so offensive about either picture? Are we really at a point in society where we should be so afraid to joke about the human form?  Like boobs don't exist? Like a pale ass with a stereotypical heart tattoo isn't funny?

Everyone needs to relax. Let's face it people, the human body is funny. Boobs are funny. Penises are funny. Butts are funny. It's childish, but get over it.

I hate to be the one to point this out, but big boobs do exist. And as evidenced by the sheer number of pictures shared on social media under the tag "#NationalCleavageDay," there's a lot of women who are proud of what their mama gave 'em. I look at this picture, and I think it's funny. It doesn't mean I think any less of my wife or any other female, or that that I want to go out and pillage and rape. It simply means that I enjoy a good laugh.

It's okay to recognize the human form, just respect it. Laugh at the humor, but don't go out and start groping or staring at every nice pair of foaming jugs you see.
