Level-5 CEO Gives Thoughts on Vita’s Features

Sony has always been one to put a bunch of different features on its consoles. The original PlayStation played CDs, and we all thought that was cool. The PlayStation 2 came packed with a built-in DVD player, making it the ideal choice for gamers who wanted to get their game on and were moving on from the wonderful machine that was the VCR. Then there’s the PSP and PlayStation 3, and we all know the multiple features those platforms boast.

It would be foolish for any of us to think that the PlayStation Vita will only play games. No, Sony’s upcoming handheld will play video and music, and it will offer up a number of other options. The portable will feature its own games, but it will also allow gamers to play PlayStation 3 games on it remotely.

The device’s specs are certainly impressive, and it’s these features that have really caught the attention of Level-5’s Akihiro Hino. According to DualShockers, Hino praised the device and said it was “hard like a battleship. Almost like the Space Battleship Yamato.”

For the Level-5 CEO to compare the Vita to a beloved anime and manga series, you better believe he thinks it’s pretty damn awesome. The company has yet to announce any official games for the Vita, but with its CEO singing the praises of the Vita, I think we can all expect some Level-5 support down the road. I think a Ni no Kuni port is a no-brainer at this point.
